First off, Rosie retired in April of this year, a week after she turned 12 years old! (Don't ask how that happened!)
She still gets to go to the occasional trial to see her fans and get skirtches & treats.
Frankie & Rikki are doing great. We just finished our last 2 trials of the year and they both did AWESOME and hit some big milestones.
Rikki earned her Open Standard title over Thanksgiving weekend, then earned her Open Jumpers title this past weekend.
She is gaining confidence at each trial, but still gets very nervous when people looks at her. And it seems that with her unique looks EVERYONE wants to visit her, offer her treats, etc. There have been a couple times I've picked her up and walked off when too many people want to approach her.
I even made her a collar that looks like caution tape and says "I NEED SPACE" people either can't read, or don't think it applies to them.
Frankie keeps getting better and better. While she's not the fastest dog, but them she is one of the biggest dogs that competes locally, she is very consistent and very technical. Her Q rate is getting better all the time.
Thanksgiving weekend, I ran her all 3 days, which I normally don't, and the 3rd day, she actually had her fastest times.
She is inching her way to her MACH (Masters Agility Champion). For that, we need 20 Double Qs (a qualified run in jumpers and standard on the same day) and 750 points (the judge sets the course time based on how long it is, and a dog earns 1 pt for every second they are UNDER the time allowed, so if a STC(standard course time) is 60 seconds, and the dog runs it in 50 seconds, they earn 10 points)
This past weekend, Frankie got Double Q #20, and is up to 625 points! :-) We're slowly getting there.
Managed to get a couple videos over the weekend.
