How do i locate the leaks on my Rubbermaid stock tank?

1st, make sure the plug is tight. I use the white teflon tape on mine and I don't ever take it back out. Unless these things are dinged badly, there shouldn't be any leaks. Put it on a flat, clean surface and put about six inches of water in it. Watch for leaks. Make sure it is dry before repairing it with JB Weld. Let it dry for a couple days and fill it up and forget about it.

When the plastic tanks have a sidewall crack it can be invisible when the water is below the crack line. Also hard to seal the crack because of the bending that happens when the tank is filled.
So try watching and marking the spot when the tank is filled or maybe the ag dye they sell to mix into weed spray would help show the leaking.
