My Dad didn't have a cavity in his mouth when he had all his teeth pulled at a young age to to bad gums. He was not good about hygiene. My Mom had some work done over the years but had pretty good teeth in general. She did have some of her own teeth when she passed. My Grandmother was really adamant about caring for her teeth and she had all her own teeth when she passed in her 80's. I am hoping I keep mine but since this disease can be hard on teeth I am not holding my breath.

Yeah, I have that genetic tendency to "tartar" build up and in my youth had dentists yell at me. It was very frustrating but now dentists seem to understand that it isn't ALL my fault! I have my teeth cleaned 3X a year instead of 2X and insurance doesn't pay for that 3rd cleaning.

I used to be literally very scared of dentist but now my phobia has been eliminated from the life. I have got really good treatment from the Torrance dentist for my gum problem as well as the decay. Now I regularly visit him for the regular checkups.
