Went back to working out yesterday... that was painful in a good way (or did it feel good in a painful way?)
I was scared to get on that scale, but ready to forgive myself. I had hoped to do more walking, but my dad wanted to come with me. He can't walk very far or very fast anymore. I thought the awesome walks with my dad were way more important than maintaining my weight... I lost it once, I could lose it again!
Anyway, I was pleasantly surprised, but now both Mason and I have to get back on track!

Yeah, you'll get the 2 pounds back off in no time. Vacation pounds don't matter since they aren't real anyway, if you ask me. So much out of the normal routine, so when the routine comes back, the pounds will go.
Now, if we vacationed 3 times a month that might be different.

Doesn't that give you a nice feeling when you find out that while you were enjoying yourself, you don't have to feel guilty?

Yes! I have to admit that not only did I not exercise, but there was ice cream (I kept my portions small) and wine (I only drink alcohol twice a year). But I wasn't snacking otherwise and I didn't feel deprived and I am proud of myself for not over indulging... It IS a nice feeling!

Good job, being thinner is nice but not the end all. And relaxing and having fun, creating some great memories is the idea of a vacation.
