We've been having a LOT of anonymous "guest" posts lately. Posts that in no way need to be anonymous to that point. You don't have to sign up with an account - you can still post through the guest, but PLEASE - pick a name!

It is a huge annoyance to me to not have any name, nickname, or whatever to ID who is talking. Is it guest 1 or guest 2, etc. To me it's like having a conversation with a person in a ski mask, and they refuse to take it off. No matter what they say, they're still the creepy person with the hidden face. I'm going to walk away (fast) or snatch the damn mask off their heads so I can at least see a face!

lol... no I'm not trying to be mean to anybody, but I'm asking that you guests pick a name. Use it when you post to us or else you're just the guy in the ski mask.

This is NOT pointed at regulars, that for personal reasons, occasionally post anon. Not the same thing at all. This is for the guest(s) that seem to post conversationally on other posts, where there is no reason at all to remain anon.

I agree too Usually "guests" post snarky things...so when I see guest, I charge on over to the thread, fangs bared, and am surprised when the post was friendly

The guest we have seen lately does post a lot of good things but I do wish she/he would identify themselves with a name.

Guest must have a name henceforth. That's just the way it's going to be. We'd love guest to intro her/himself, but that's not even totally necessary. I'm going to sticky this thread so that future "guests" will be aware too.

I'll be registering here soon, I just had to say this is highly amusing! The other horse forum I am on guests aren't allowed to post anymore it's a more closed tight knit community there, I found this forum on a crazy research quest. I like the idea of browsing the different threads to see if i'll like the community before registering!
