I mix up this recipe every summer. It is actually for 'freezer pickles' but most of the time they never make it to the freezer. Even my little kids loved these pickles.
Mix: 2 cups sugar 1 cup vinegar 1 tablespoon salt 1 teaspoon celery seed
Cut up 7 cups (or more) of cucumbers thinly sliced 2 or 3 small onions green pepper is optional
add vegetables to the sugar mixture and refrigerate for 24 hours before freezing.
Serve fresh or freeze.
