This cake has over 900 reviews on recipe.com allrecipes.com/Recipe/Chocolate-Cavity-Maker-Cake/Detail.aspxIt doesn't need frosting!! Ingredients * 1 (18.25 ounce) package dark chocolate cake mix * 1 (3.9 ounce) package instant chocolate pudding mix * 1 (16 ounce) container sour cream * 3 eggs * 1/3 cup vegetable oil * 1/2 cup coffee flavored liqueur * 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips Directions 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 10 inch Bundt pan. 2. In a large bowl, combine cake mix, pudding mix, sour cream, eggs, oil and coffee liqueur. Beat until ingredients are well blended. Fold in chocolate chips. Batter will be thick. Spoon into prepared pan. 3. Bake in preheated oven for 1 hour, or until cake springs back when lightly tapped. Cool 10 minutes in pan, then turn out and cool completely on wire rack. I used one cup of chocolate chips instead of 2. Many of the reviews said to use the mini chocolate chips instead of the regular size.
I also used Kahlua for the coffee flavored liqueur

Ohhh, snaffle it was GOOD!
I'm a chocolate weinee, though, I would omit all the chocolate chips. The cake is rich enough without them.

dpt, I think I will use the mini chips next time, and only use 1 cup like this time.
I think too, that I could probably get by without any chocolate chips.
I read one review where the baker used the mint chips instead of CC.
I am going to make cupcakes with this recipe for the Harding tack swap. The cake takes an hour, cupcakes take 15 minutes to bake.

Rob thought it had an aftertaste from the Kahlua. He likes his desserts fairly plain.

I had a leftover piece today. Yum... no aftertaste in my opinion.
Other things can be substituted for the Kahlua

Could you use strong coffee in place of the liqueur?

Okay - I'm making this for the boy scout Court of Honor tomorrow night - I'll let you know how many kids are bouncing off walls afterward Ian will be getting his Tenderfoot rank advancement - so I have to go find him some moccasins to mark the occasion.

I am so glad you liked it!
I made it yesterday and took it to my son's place. Everyone there loved it.
I used one cup of mini-chocolate chips instead of 2 cups of regular and it was perfect!
