Just wanted to introduce myself.... Hi , I'm Amy and I'm addicted to critters ;D There ,I admitted it and now I can carry on ,guilt free I live in South Dakota with my 4 kids and hubby ( might as well count him as another kid!) We have just one horse right now , a 9 year old arab mare named Whiskey. She's a huge brat with tons of attitude ! She was bottle raised and we bought her as a two year old . She constantly tests us and keeps us on our toes She's a keeper ! LOL We had to put my hubby's arab gelding , Speedo , down a year ago this past October . He was 27 years old and suffering from arthritus in his front leg , due to an old injury . We miss him terribly So , as you can tell we're really into arabs and hope to have more when we finally move to the country ! So since we can't have horses here ( we board Whiskey about 25 miles away at a friend's house) we have dogs the size of small horses ! hehe We have Newfoundlands and are totally hooked on the breed . Just got baby "Winter" last night from a breeder in MO . So if you want to be flooded with newfie puppy pics ,I can do that ;D We also have a hedgehog , 3 Chinchillas , 2 house bunnies (a mini rex and English Lop) and 2 guinea pigs . Okay ,I think that's it . Glad I found this place and hope to get to know ya'll

Welcome to the board Noel! Glad to meet another Arab fan ^_^ I have a 13 yr old quarter horse mare, a 19 year old Polish Arabian gelding, and a newly acquired 9 year old Arabian mare. The Arab mare is a rescue we took in, skin and bones, abused, 7 weeks ago. Also have 2 dogs, 8 parakeets, and 3 cats.

Welcome to Equi-Friends, Noel! Another Arabian owner here - we have 2 geldings. Hubby's gelding, Revere, is 11 and my gelding, Taz, is 6. We live in Florida and have 2 boys. Oldest is into sports (football, baseball). Youngest doesn't like team sports but is taking riding lessons!
My oldest will be 10 next month. My youngest will be 9 in April. Where HAS the time gone?
Aside from the horses, we have a Golden Retriever (rescue) named Max and a JRT (or mix, a former stray) named Leia. We also have 1 goldfish (Nemo) and 2 oto-cats (who used to have names but we started with 5 and don't know which ones died).
Oh, and I used to live in South Dakota! My dad was stationed at Ellsworth AFB. I loved it there. We used to go to Mt. Rushmore a lot and even made it to Wall.

LOL My Dad put 20 years in the air force , we lived in Alaska , MT and ND before here . I have lots of inlaws in Wall ,I stay clear from there ! LOL Mt. Rushmore I *love* , we visit every year . We live in Belle Fourche which is just about an hour's drive northwest of Rapid City. Anyways , thankyou so much for the warm welcome

Welcome Noel! I had to post because of those familiar places in SD. I lived there for 1.5 years... years I know would have gone faster had I been able to live in the Rapid City area rather than... Huron. AAGHH!!!! Anyway, I love the way things are pronounced there. You should tell the people how to say Belle Fourche. I remember it didn't take long to understand that Pierre was NOT Pee-Air like everybody outside of the Dakotas thinks! Anyway, welcome welcome welcome. Looking forward to your posts.

Hi there. My name is Katie, I'm 25, and I have two wonderful girls of my own. The one people have seen if they've seen Amber's avi. That's my younger mare, Cosa. She's three-fourths Paso Fino and one-fourth Arabian. She's a darling and a doll and she's going to be 8 years old this year. My other baby is Rose, a lovely Standardbred mare who is going to be 16 shortly- February 23. She's also an ex-racehorse. Pacer. I just wanted to stop and say hi and get to know everyone. I've heard lots of good stuff from Amber. ^^

Well gosh I suppose I had better introduce myself after posting and making a nuisance of myself! My name is Sally (if anyone didn't catch that from MA!). I live fairly close to MA and she was one of the first people I met in IL after moving here from ND. LUCKY ME!!! I know I don't tell her enough how much I appreciate her and all her knowledge! I own a 5 yr old Appendix QH who is my most favorite boy in the world and I also have his 1/2 sister who is a yearling breeding stock paint (she is a sabiano) but registered as a BS with APHA. I have a wonderful husband (except for his aversion to horses!) a 14 yr old son, a 8 yr old daughter and a 3 yr old daughter along with a cat and a rat terrier who is undescribable! I stay fairly busy and don't have near enough time to spend with my horses so right now we trail ride and work on fun games in the arena--but don't get to show . I think that covers the basics--soon you will all know everything about me!! Thanks again MA for clueing me in on this site--it's GREAT!!
