made my first ever cheesecake last night. I've had a springform cheesecake pan for a few years, but never took the time to make it. I like ELI's chocolate chip cheesecake, but it is difficult to find in this area. Finally found a recipe to use, so I made it for the "slore party" (ask MA!) today. It was good, but I think if I make it again I'll use less chocolate chips, as it was a bit more chocolaty than I like. Here's the recipe: Chocolate Chip CheesecakeCrust: 1/3 C butter, melted 1 1/4 C graham cracker crumbs 1/4 C sugar Filling: 3 (8 oz) pkgs cream cheese 1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk 1 (12 oz) pkg mini chocolate chips 4 eggs 2 t vanilla Combine crust ingredients and press into bottom of 9" springform pan. Beat cream cheese till fluffy with electric mixer. Add milk and beat. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Stir in chips. Pour onto crust in the pan. Bake at 300 degrees for 1 hour. Chill, remove sides from pan. Enjoy with friends.

Yummeh! I'll have to try it. Looks like a pretty easy recipe with only a few ingredients - my favorite kind!

Is there such a thing as too chocolaty?? LOL!! That's exactly what I was thinking! Now, of course, I'm already thinking what can be replaced with low or fat free ingredients... I love my cheesecake, but gotta keep it healthy as I can so I can enjoy more often! Sounds VERY good...

Sorry, I'm a chocolate wimp. Love it, but not too much at a time. Please post your low fat version when you get it figured out.

That was the best cheesecake I've ever tasted! I would keep it as is--- maybe add some mint chips or toffee chips as a way to change it.
Your cheesecake received my very first post----
Thank you for posting it, I told my husband how good it was and since I'm usually not a cheesecake person he was surprised at how I raved about it.
It was great to meet all of you Sunday

This was probably the best cheesecake I've ever made - I used about 1/2 bag of milk chocolate chips, 1/2 bag white chocolate chips, 1/3 bag milk chocolate/caramel chips and 1/2 bag of heath bar toffee bits (cleaning out the cupboard of partial bags of chips) - and you CANNOT have too many chips, ever!!!

I agree, this cheesecake was outstanding! Isn't it funny how we all went away talking about it?
So. Yummeh.

This is in my oven right now for my New Years dish to pass :-)
Instead of choc chips I swirled some Carmel sauce into it before popping it in the oven. I plan to drizzle some over the top too after it's done (Mr. handsome that's my date doesn't like chocolate at all!).
I've been craving this for a while...
