For all of you who wear "mom" jeans... How can you stand it? I've fallen into the NECESSITY of wearing low rise jeans that sit just below my belly button...if not, I have a gut ache the rest of the day. Wanna know what my poor gut ache means? Gas. Lots of it. I wore some wranglers, regular waisted, from about 11:00 am. till about 6:30 pm. By 6, my stomach was starting to get hard and distended, so I unbuttoned them while I fed my horses. The stupid part? These jeans aren't even TIGHT. They don't cut into my belly much at all where they button. Yet, any time I wear pants of any sort that sit above my belly button, my stomach fills with painful air and sticks out further than my boobs at times. Yeah, I'm a real gas to be around.

LOL! It is hard to find just the right jeans. I kind of like the "natural waist" jeans. They're not low rise, but not the ones that are over the belly button.

Weird - I can't stand jeans that sit any lower than my belly button and prefer them above that!

I think I'm in Newfy's boat... I like them about 2" below waist, but not like low-rise... those always feel like they're falling off (maybe that comes from not really having a defined waist).
I HATE with a purple passion waist high jeans (or pants or skirts of any kind). They are SO unformortable, I feel like I'm being cut in half slowly by my own pants! Yuk. And no... I do not buy them too tight, I buy them a little big if anything.

That's weird. I had horrible horrible stomache pains last weekend, caused by terrible gas exactly like your describe. That day was the first day I wore my high wasted jeans in weeks. I usualy wear an inch or below my belly button. I'll have to try again soon and test that theory...

I have to have them below my belly button too. Or, like you, I get nasty stomach pains!

Low rise on me is just right, since I have NO waist to speak of. "Classic fit" hit me right on my belly button or above and drive me INSANE! So anything that has "low rise' on it fits me just right..
And, most 'classic fit' are really small waisted anyhow, as if we were all shaped like Barbie around the middle.....ugh....

Surprise surprise, I'm with newfy and T-leigh. I like my pants just below the bellybutton, much more comfy. More flattering too!

I like my jeans above my belly button and over the top of my hips, otherwise they head south. But I find I just can't stand jeans that don't stretch, and if I can get away with it-elastic waistbands. Hubby HATES those elastic waistbands but you know since I was spayed I find things that go across that scar hurt. Guess that is why the waist band has to be above my belly button too, the scar goes to the belly button. No more bikinis for me-yeah right like THAT is what keeps me from wearing one. LOL You know its really too bad that all pants cannot be as stretchy and comfy as riding breeches. Although leggings were pretty close....

I'm with newfy, T-leigh, and greymoya. Below the belly button, please! I typically buy medium-rise, I think.

I keep having severe stomach cramps from wearing the on the waist Levi women's jeans... The pain starts about an hour later with these jeans and causes such bad cramps that I need to use a heat pad for a day on my stomach to help it recover from it's injury and settle down the spasms... I only get this with these particular jeans....and I agree that below the belly button jeans are the answer and not too tight when sitting or driving..
Can some of you mention what jeans you found with a below the belly button waist that are comfortable? I need to toss these 2 pairs and start over.

I love the high waisted jeans. But then I have a long body, shorter legs. The low cut jeans always end up heading to my knees since I really don't have anything in the way of wide hips to hold them up and my thighs is where I hold my weight-but with all the bike riding they no longer jiggle. Now underwire bras are something I can't wear if I am sitting for any time at all, especially since I broke the rib. I love how they make the girls look but dang it hurts. Oh and want to know whats REALLY REALLY comfy, Leggings. I wear them bike riding and Really don't want to wear jeans anymore. LOL

Count me in with the others that CANNOT STAND my pants to be below my belly button. I want them on my waist, above my belly button. Thankfully, I am still able to find some that fit that way. I'd be in big trouble otherwise.
I think the "muffin top" that results from tight low-rise hip huggers on pudgy/overweight women (like myself) is beyond unattractive. We had a girl at the Fair last week, competing in 4-H, that just looked horrendous in her low-rise pants. She would have looked so much more professional and appropriate with pants at her waist. I do not want/need to see her butt crack when she is bending over setting up her goat...
