You can guess where this is headed!
This morning I packed my food for the day. A small sandwich for my snack, the last of the spaghetti for lunch, a banana (still have oranges at work) and some carrots.
Yep - left it at home!!
The cafeteria is serving chicken fried steak which I normally LOVE. In fact, I looked longingly at it on the menu yesterday. However, thanks to my beef sausage patty this morning, the "greasy" chicken fried steak doesn't even sound that good.
I'll be having my chicken alfredo with brocolli frozen dinner for lunch. I do have oranges and one applesauce left here at work for snacks. I may check out the veggies in the cafeteria. The menu lists corn, cheddar mashed potatoes, fried okra and green beans w/ red pepper - of which the green beans is the only good choices and I'm not crazy about peppers in my green beans.

Oh poo! What a crummy feeling Surely you'll be able to come up with *some*thing healthy for lunch...if not, you won't be able to splurge tonight or tomorrow for a weekend treat :/

Geez, that really bites! (Oh, not to make a funny there! ) Perhaps it'd be good to stock a little emergency kit for your desk drawer with some raw nuts and dried fruit. It's not the most lavish lunch but it's healthy, and will tide you over in a pinch.

My chicken alfredo w/ brocolli is a healthier choice - 11 gms of fat (which is the category I tend to go over in), so less than 2 fats by the time I factor in the chicken. I got this at the health food store yesterday to keep at work for emergencies - just never dreamed it would be so soon.
I usually keep applesauce at work, but I think I'm down to one. I do have 2 clementines (well 1 1/2 since I'm eating one right now). Having nuts here is a great idea. I used to keep some string cheese, etc in the fridge, but with power outages due to construction I took the refrigerated stuff home and haven't stocked back up yet.
