How are you feeling?
Now that it is a new day, what happened yesterday is over. It if was good, that is great, carry the feeling into today. If it was not as good as you had hoped, it's in the past!
Just do your best and forget the rest!

I was a model of self restraint yesterday. I did my diet perfectly. No exercise to speak of, other than doing chores and cleaning stalls; it was too danged cold! Hubby was off, and we had a fire in the fireplace and watched old movies all day. It was great! I intend to do great today too.

And this is EXCELLENT advice!
Back when I was in WW, I remember someone making the comparison of making mistakes on their diet with dropping an egg. If you drop an egg on the floor it makes a big mess and you have to clean it up. But you sure don't throw the rest of the dozen down after it! So if you err, just pick up and go on.
Trailpal, in the book you have coming (YOU: On a Diet), they describe it as making a YOU-turn. It's as if you start down a wrong road, and when you realize it you turn around. You sure don't keep driving the wrong way! It's okay; we'll make mistakes. It's what we do with them that counts the most.

Yeah, that took me a long time to work out - I have perfectionist tendencies, and if I mess up, I get mad and toss the whole thing out!! Luckily, although that may be one of my first impulses, I've learned to just ignore it and get back on track.
Great advice Lori! No sense in getting trapped by a mistake!

That is a great sentiment Lori and it is how I look at everyday. For me the slogan is "fitness is not a destination, it is a lifestyle"... meaning, you just keep making the better choice each day.
