Today, take your measurements.
Do it every month. That way, when the time comes that you are frustrated because it seems like nothing is happening, you can look at your record and see just how many inches have been lost!

Good tip! I think Denise would mention that she's had a real change in body composition too, since she started working out.

Thanks for the reminder! I wish I had done that last time.
I'm starting tomorrow, so will measure tonight or in the morning and will weigh in tomorrow morning.

I try to do it at the first of every month. Use the same tape measure, I gained inches when I switched from my sisters tape measure to mine. Hers was rigged...lol

K, my measurements are.... chest-under the boob - 33' waist - 31' hip- 40' thigh-25' I currently wear a 33 or 34 jean, with a 34'inseam. That's me... man... I used to be a 34/29/36... stopping your fitness can do a lot of harm.. erg

Chris... I don't feel healthy though... I got bigger by losing my muscle mass... 3 years ago, I was FIT, and at about165/170 (give or take the time of the month)... but I was doing hard labour outside ALL the time... I actually loved it, I had the stamina... I had trained myself to jog... I could run a steady pace for 20 minutes without taking a breather... And then I started this job... and slowly the pounds started creeping... I only "gained" 15 pounds... BUT, I lost all my muscle... so it looks like a lot more.. I went from a size 10, to a size 14... so.. I'm focused on getting what I had, back.

Well from before Christmas to last week when I remeasured I lost 4 inches around my rib cage. I measured it twice, I was a 45 and went down to a 41. I think the bras I ordered that day will be wayyy too big now. The one I kept cause it was "close only a little too small" is too big already. But odd thing is the cup size doesn't seem to be changing. good God I do NOT want to look like Dolly Parton when I am done. Course I guess that is better than having to roll um up to get um in the bra cup. LOL My hips...they were a size 48. Size, I used to be a 36 (C)/27/36 Sigh. One day I hope to be close to that again.

You know, when it comes right down to it, I think I'm too skeered to measure. I think I just want to feel it in my clothes....

Marci, are you guys measuring under the breast? That's what I thought you were saying.
Chris, my waist is bigger than yours. I believe we are both apples aren't we?

yes, we both are apples, MJ. That's the bad news. The good news is that apples get their figures back faster than pears when we get serious about losing weight!
