Are chipotle peppers spicy or hot like jalapenos? I have always wanted to try them but Cally doesn't like hot food so I haven't cooked with them. Do you eat them alone or only cook with them?

I would think if you ate them alone it might kill you. But I like to chop up a few for chili. Chipotle peppers are jalapenos that have been smoked and put in a tomato based sauce. They're delicious, but a little goes a long way. And Aerosmith's Chicken Enchilada Chili simply rocks! It was yummeh!!!  |
