Blind Dave's Mocha

This is one from my college days. There was a little coffee shop next to the co-op where I worked, and they had all sorts of delicious coffees and baked goods. I used to get a mocha there that was so good I could hardly bear it, called Blind Dave's Mocha.

I don't know who Dave was, or if he was really blind, but it makes sense. A waitress who worked there finally confessed as to how it was made. You get a nice chunky hand thrown pottery mug, and put in anywhere from a quarter to a half a cup of Haagen Daz chocolate ice cream. You pour sparkin' hot coffee over it, and stir gently. The ice cream floats to the top and makes a deeelicious foam, and it tastes so good it just about hurts!

Haagen Daz is an ideal choice because it's made with real cream and chocolate, is very dense, and has no thickener or texturizer crap in it. My oh my, it just about hurts!

Anyway, it's simple and it's GOOD. And I'm having a cup right now. Just thought I'd share.

There's always a "trade-off" right? Well, I had some salmon crackers for lunch the other day and did not have six of them, I think it was more like nine. I couldn't stop stuffing my face!
