I know this is a recipe probably everyone has - but I bet there are a million different ways to make it. Here are two of my favorites:
Cheesy Tuna Casserole
1 can tuna fish (drained) 1 can cream of chicken soup 1 package croutons (I like the seasoned ones or the cracked pepper and parmesan) - most packages are at least 5 1/2 or 6 ounces (if you want it more "solid" - add another 1/2 package of croutons) 1 soup can of milk 1 8 ounce package shredded cheddar cheese parmesan cheese to sprinkle on top (optional)
Whisk together in 2 quart casserole dish the can of soup and the milk. Add the drained tuna and the shredded cheese. Stir until blended. Add the croutons, mixing until they are all covered with sauce. Optional - sprinkle parmesan cheese on top.
Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until top is browned. Makes 4 or 5 good sized servings.
Tuna Chip Casserole
1 can tuna fish (drained) 1 can cream of chicken soup 1 bag of potato chips (plain)
Mix tuna fish and soup in 2 quart casserole dish, add 2 handsful of crushed chips (crumble in your hands) and mix - you can add more chips if it doesn't look like enough.
Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
Makes 2 servings.
You can use cream of mushroom soup for either - but I don't like mushrooms!
I usually don't salt or pepper either - there's enough salt in the soup!

I have to agree, Char; I'm SO not a hot tuna person, but this one sounds really good. I'll have to try it!

Duh - I forgot - if you don't like tuna - you can get the cans of chunked chicken - works just as well!!

I was also thinking of flaked salmon! Okay, I'm hungry now.
