I think my betta is going to die

I built dividers for a 10 gallon tank it was broke into 3 sections. I had 2 Bettas on the outsides and neon tetras in the middle. Somehow they both got into the middle and fought... their mouths locked and now one can’t close his mouth and is breathing rapidly and gills are flaring. He has to go up for air quite a bit. Is there anything I can do?
