You're right, LJ.......weasels would have killed as many as they could all at once......
Weasels have had bad press....they don't kill simply because they are bloodthirsty (and they don't drink/suck blood. They go for organ meat first.)
But yes, they get into a chicken coop, they'll kill and carry off as many as they can......
The kids and I found 2 short-tailed weasels many years ago, after a terrific storm. Evidently, they washed out of a nest, and we found them whining in a ditch. We brought them home (after I was certain they weren't rat-pups) and bottled them. They graduated to cat food......but WHEW.....they are....er....*pungent*......and they gogogogogo almost continually....... We moved them to an outside cage, intending to release them when they were a bit bigger....but the little sneaks escaped on us, and went off (I hope) to live productive lives in weasel society.....LOL....
Interesting critters, but definitely NOT pet material.

I would set a live trap and see what you get. If it's one of your cats just release it. I have also used a trail cam to take pictures of movement I order to see what is coming into the barn. Hope you can keep your remaining kittens safe!

I believe the answer Ozzyandtucker is Yes. Kittens are easy prey to a lot of animals.
