Doing anything horsey? Anything fun?
Have you noticed a change in the quality of the light these days? The days are getting a little longer each day, and sometimes you can see the frost coming out of the ground in a beautiful mist. It looks really springlike, albiet early springlike.
Anybody with bad cabin fever? Paula? I feel the worst for you, being so far north. It makes me cold in that sort of weather to even look out the window!
So, what's everyone up to this weekend?

Working on Sat. Lots of rest on Sunday. Hopefully, finally I'll be rid of this Crud that is in my system. Yesterday afternoon, I got a little vitamin H. When I got home from DHR, I could not sit still and couldn't concentrate on anything. Sheba and I had a nice hour long ride around the neighborhood and pastures. Usually that brings me out of a funk, but not yesterday.

Saturday is supposed to rain AGAIN but it may be fairly light. I'm going to use that day to get the grocery shopping done and go look at some new houses. I am currently house hunting... we will be selling our current doublewide and bringing in a new one later this year ;D Sunday is supposed to be sunny and 70, so after church I WILL get some horsey time in. With any luck it will include riding - mostly grooming and groundwork with one or two rides. Tricia - I feel so awful for yo and those kids, and have added the situation to my daily prayers.

I'm probably going to Harper tomorrow to do some stuff for my sister. Since Kerrville is only 20 minutes away, I may swing by and look at that Quarab mare down there, see if our personalities click. It'll probably be too muddy to ride, though.
Erich sleeps all weekend, every weekend. I have to take the kids to my mom's so they don't wake him up. I usually HATE weekends.
At least I'll hopefully get out of the house tomorrow.

Well I have been taking care of a friends horses and that ends on Sunday. Yeah!!! And I have been working onthe motorhome cabnets. Someone painted them so I am doing a faux wood look and they are coming out really nicely. I am totally surprised. I have 3 animals and 1 person to talk to this week too, and those take about an hour each. I am hoping to get a quick ride in sometime this week. The weathers has been beautiful lately, only a little nippy in the late 30's in the mornings. I am getting spoiled with all the sunny days we are getting, it seems all to be going south. Not that I am complaining but I am a bit worried about fire danger later in the year.

My weekend started yesterday afternoon. ;D I got both horses clipped, bushed and lunged. I'm going to BFs this afternoon, and tomorrow we're going to a feed store sale. I'm still sewing and tagging stuff for the big tack sale coming up in a couple weeks. So far I have used over 9,000 yards of thread! And that's just one one machine. Not sure how much I've used on the other machine. I'd like to finish tagging stuff this weekend, but I ran out of sheets, and won't get more until probably Tuesday.
Sunday I'll probably do something horsey. Monday morning I'm picking up BF at the car shop, taking him to the Dr. for blood work, then we're going out for breakfast. After that, we're putting in a new outdoor faucet. I'll have hotwater outside again!! The old one popped something in the last freeze and we couldn't find a replacement that we liked. Once that gets done, I can wash tails!!

Well, I thought I was going ice skating after work today with my dad. I never was able to get a hold of him though, and he didn't call me. So, no ice skating. I haven't seen or done anything with him in over a month so I was looking forward to it. *sigh* Tomorrow I work 12:30-6pm. I think either before or after we're going to buy a bed frame and box spring. Woo, exciting. Sunday we are supposed to go see Goliath the Percheron. Just trying to get out there to see him has been a hassle; my fiance keeps wavering back and forth on whether he really wants to go out on Sunday or not. Two people are supposed to see him on Saturday; it wouldn't surprise me if he is sold again before we get to see him. I guess we'll find out tomorrow night; the owner is supposed to email me and let me know. I work 7:30am-1pm all next week so I will *finally* get to ride. I haven't ridden in a month or so... can't wait to ride again! My SO says he's riding Miss Cleo tomorrow. Hmmph.

Tomorrow is the 4-H tack sale and I cleaned out my tack room and closet. I've got a bunch of jeans that are either too tight or too short and a whole tote full of tack to sell. It's amazing how much you collect over the years. They've been advertising it pretty heavily so I hope there is a good turn out. I'm hoping to take in enough money to pay for the farrier visit I have scheduled on Wednesday but just making more than I spend there would be good, LOL. Then I might go up and check out the place I am sending Fancy for training. It's the same people I sent Chance to a few years ago but they just moved to a new barn and I haven't been there yet. The place they are at now has an apartment for them to live in and it is attached to a 10 stall heated show barn and HEATED indoor arena. They also have 20 stalls in the "cold barn" and turn out.
Then it's supposed to snow and be nasty tomorrow night and sunday so I guess I probably won't go barrel racing. That's ok, my horse is fat and out of shape and so am I...
I have major spring fever. It was so warm here for the last couple weeks and now the cold has come back and even though it is still warmer than it was a few weeks ago, it seems so much colder!

Kit said: I'll have hothingyer outside again!!
You must mean hot running water, but I can't imagine what you said that the filter translated to that!

Oldest son's pain in the neck friend is visiting for the weekend. Everytime this guy comes over, something is broken or damaged.
Went and looked at another truck, getting impatient to have something to pull my trailer with!
Plan to ride, trying to convince myself to give horsey bath while the weather is decent. Sheryl

Horse sitting! Unfortunately he's lame right now and i won't get to ride him! But I'll get to brush and hand walk him, and smell him! Nothing major, just doing the feeding/water/walking/cleaning tonight and feeding him Sunday morning. But it'll feel good to be in the barn again! I haven't even been able to touch a horse since New Year's Day! Amber

Amber, don't forget to smell! Nothing is more therapeutic to me than the smell of a horse's neck!

LOL Sheryl, I didn't even catch that. I said I would have hot (then) water outside again. Not sure why it would have changed that. But you guessed right. LOL
Hey, since you are still looking for a truck, there are still three for sale on Hwy 530. Heading from I-5 towards Arlington. They look to be nice trucks. All Fords, I'd guess mid 90s. One has a canopy. Couldn't hurt to look, and three in one stop!
