We did a tour of the county's skill center a couple of days ago, which offers vocational training for junior and senior high school students here in Snohomish county. Who would have ever guessed that their vet assistant program has 2 horses onsite! The kids don't ride them, but rather care for and hand walk for two beautiful Friesian mares while they are on maternity leave. The horses are scheduled to leave a soon, well before they are due, but it was a totally unexpected surprise to see such fabulous horses in addition to the cats and dogs on loan from the animal shelter. All very well cared for from what I could see...

Oh kewl! I'm weak for Friesians, as you might know. They turn up in the most remarkable and unexpected places, like the circus, the movies, and the Snohomish County vet assistant's program. Were they pretty ones?

What a fun suprise!
I have an uncle who lives just across from the park/farm in Bellevue. It is such an oasis from the city. Linda
