Guess I just need to whine

Doc gave me b/c pills to help my hormones till I have surgery to remove the cyst from my ovary. First prescrip. kept me from sleeping. I told DH it was like watching TV in my head all night....dream after dream after dream....so doc gave me a different kind. New prescrip. made me very nauseous, gave me a headache, and made it difficult to wear my contacts. Then, after four days of putting up with it, all my horrible hormonal symptoms came back anyway! My breasts are so sore, I can't even explain it. And I swear they are five cup sizes larger. My abdomen is swollen and uncomfortable. My ovary hurts (I think I ovulated despite the b/c) and the cyst on the *other* ovary hurts as well. I gained 4 lbs literally overnight (I know where it went, too....the 5 cup sizes!) I feel absolutely awful. The doc gave me some prescription motrin...so far so good with that. It at least takes the edge off.

Since I took 6 days of b/c pills, I really have no idea what my cycle will do this month. I'm hoping it will just be normal. (Hah! What are the odds???)

To top it off, this morning I woke up with a scratchy throat and sniffy nose. Now I have a cold. Doesn't it just figure?

It is going to be a long two and a half weeks till surgery. I'm not patient or tolerant when it comes to feeling crummy.

YUCK - Prayers for you. I say you need to just go soak in a long hot bubble bath, read a good a book, and try to forget about all this for a while!

Almost sounds to me that the BC made your body think its preggers.
I went thru the same thing just before my spay (much easier to spell;) ) surgery. I was popping those things like they were candy to help control the bleeding. It helped but wow that last couple weeks was hell.

Gosh, Kel, this sounds awful! I have had some serious female problems too... I know how uncomfortable it is. Hugs to you.
