Again, thanks for all of the support and advice regarding my creepy motel job. I appreciate it. The Thursday that I "quit" the motel job, I happened upon a cashier position at a local farm & ranch hardware/fencing supply. I talked with the owner/manager and he said he'd get back to me "soon" about the position. Fast forward to Monday; I called him to ask what the status was regarding my application and he said "I haven't forgotten about you and I will let you know on Friday." Basically I called to let him know I was still interested in the job.
Today I received the call and I start Monday, 8am ;D It puts a kink in my plans of going to the trainer's daily to ride my horse before he comes home this next weekend, but I'm going to try to work around that. This cashier position sounds MUCH better and I'm positive I'll be happier there. Yay!

It SOUNDS much better than the disaster-waiting-to-happen motel clerk job! ;D
GLHR!

Not to mention the advantage of perhaps getting a discount on fencing supplies, and other farm needs! And networking; you'll get to know others in your area that shop where you work, so you'll get the scuttlebutt on all the news first. Almost as good for gossip as working in the vet's office! Sounds like a much better job than the motel one. I'm so glad you turned that one down. Congratulations!
