A friend gave me TWO CASES of ripe bananas today. Apparently, they have a food program for low income people in a nearby town and they had way too many bananas. She ended up with 5 cases and gave me 2! I've made two banana cakes, a banana cream pie, and two loaves of banana bread. I've run out of sugar, flour and eggs for making any more banana baked goods . I've mashed up bananas and put 15 bags in the deep freeze for later use and I still have a full case to get rid of! I called up my neighbor who has lots of kids to see if she wanted some, but somebody gave them some boxes too, LOL! I can get rid of some at my mom's tomorrow, but I'm running out of options here, LOL... chris

I wonder if horses like bananas?? My neighbors told me that they gave Laara an orange or grapefruit a few months ago (can't remember which). Maybe a little banana to sweeten a nice warm mash??

Star does like bananas. He's eaten them before. He also LOFFS oranges.
One time at an endurance ride, the ride manager had hay and water for the horses at the PR stop. She had apples and oranges for the riders. Star went up to the pile of oranges and helped himself, LOL......
Now I know what to give him to get liquid in him when he's being fussy about eating at a ride!

Goaties LOVE bananas, especially with the peel.
Chris, you got a dehydrator??? My sister used to buy a case of bananas and have my mom dehydrate them for her. She used them as gifts for the doctors at the clinic where she worked.......

I used to love bannana chips! How about those? With as many as you have, I would slice the long ways. It would be a lot easier that way!

Got any monkeys in the neighborhood? I absolutely love banana sandwiches, bread, pudding, well, pretty much anything that you can do with them. Good fortune smiled on you today!

Hasha had a good idea - can you dehydrate them and make banana chips? Another yummy way to eat them is to fry them in brown sugar. I actually detest bananas, so I don't envy you. LOL Now, if someone had given me two cases of mangos, I'd be thrilled! I do with mangos all the things you do with bananas, including making mango bread. Yummers!

Well, yesterday I gave away 6 bags of bananas to my mother and brother.
Today, I made two more loaves of banana bread, a double batch of banana oatmeal cookie dough (which I put in the freezer), and a chocolate banana cake
AND I STILL HAVE A CASE TO USE UP!
Fred, the goat, ate only a half a banana.
Banana daquiries anyone???

Have you frozen any banana chunks to use in blender drinks? Frozen bananas, frozen strawberries, skim milk and honey make heaven in a blender.
