Here's what we woke up to this morning! The big mulberry tree in my back yard: closeup no wonder the tree branches are all sagging! A cherry bush in my front yard Szybki's fence row.. this is the 6 foot high fence we built.. hope the ice doesn't mash it down too much! It's nailed to those trees with T-posts in between, so it should hold up as long as the trees do! Horses hunkered down, butts to the wind. Their manes are hanging low with icycles. They have a shed, but don't go in it, silly things. I gave everybody a big helping of warm beet pulp mash this morning for breakfast. Star's bunch seems just fine and full of it despite their rough night. Szybki was much better this morning too. That's STar in the distance looking at his feed pan, demanding I quit taking pictures and give him his breakfast! The sleet let up a little this morning, but it's baaack...sigh...

Oh dear. You got a lot of damage I'm so sorry. So far we are ok here, but the wind is supposed to pick up tonight.. with all the weight of ice on the trees, I imagine we'll have some tree limbs to pick up tomorrow... We still haven't cleaned up entirely from the ice storm a few years ago. chris

Luckily, there really isn't that much damage, just a lot of clean-up. A couple of small branches fell on our electric taped area, but we were able to pull them off. Just stretched the fence a bit, once the ice melts off the fence we'll tighten it again.

Cally, That second photo is a prize winner! If you could just touch up the brown spot with black so it doesn't look like a fresh break.....wow!
Ice storms do leave some beautiful scenery--but they are so ugly to deal with. You all have my sympathy. Linda
