I haven't been here for ages, I know, but thought I'd share Blue and her new Buddy, Ted's new horse: And Blue and Buddy today... Just chillin' in the pasture.

Nice pics! Black animals are very difficult to photograph well.

Both are gorgeous, and yes black animals are tough to get a good photo of.

Wow, I have to hand it to you, Karen! I can see individual hairs in their haircoat! Well done! And it's great to 'see' you here again!

Gorgeous pictures. I should send my daughter down to you so you can teach her how to take pictures with her new camera...and then she can take pictures of my horses that dont look like giraffes or that they have giant heads

Thank you, everyone. Buddy is a great addition to our "family." It was not a planned addition, but a good one nonetheless.

Yip - Buddy is new. A good friend of Ted's passed last fall. Ted officiated his service and has been helping the widow disperse the herd of TWH they had. This is one of that herd. Ted sold Tee and Buddy to a woman - telling her that if they didn't work out for any reason, he would buy them back personally. Well, Tee was perfect for them, but Buddy was more horse than she felt comfortable with. Sooooo... here he is. The funny thing is that Buddy is an absolute love both on the ground and under saddle. I love riding him, but he is very obviously a man's horse, and just adores Ted. He's here to stay
