This spring after the snow melted we discovered voles had moved in under our shed. Pesky little nuggets. We tried to be nice and sprinkle some stuff we got ar Menards that is supposed to repel them. I think they laughed at us. Now I just want them gone and I don't care if they go to come heaven. I was trying to be conservative since there has been a momma bunny living under our shed for a few seasons and we weren't looking to send her away....so something non lethal for her would be great. Any suggestions would be great!!!

They make some spring prong traps that go in the vole tunnels I think. The bunny most likely would not be digging and trigger that. Or possibly some kind of live trap and you can release the bunny if she gets caught.

The only thing I have ever had good luck with is a big cat. Evidently, voles are very tasty. They are his favorite. Jack Russels work too, but they scatter a lot of dirt. The cat makes much less mess.

I wish the cats in the neighborhood would hunt but they are all well fed house cats that their owners let outside to poop in my yard I see them out there with their fat bellies swinging when they run away from me but none of them look like they could possibly catch their own dinner. My cats are indoor cats and although we took one outside to have him check it out...he was more interested in finding his way back to the door to get back in. We honestly never let them out. They think their world is completely inside the walls of the house. I did call a pest control company who will come and put some poison down that he tells me will not tempt the bunny to eat it nor should it hurt the bunny if it decides to nibble on it. They have to have a 3 day window of no rain and so far it doesn't look like that will happen for awhile. Hopefully it gets sunny before my whole back yard is vole trails They have also made trails into my neighbors yard around his trees. Our other neighbor has a dog who would take care of them but more than likely would rip my wooden shed apart too. She is the barn manager's dog and she has decided there is a raccoon or other animal in one of the unused barns and has dug a giant hole and chewed up the entire lower edge of the barn door trying to get in. We just replaced the wood that needed repair last year on our shed and would really like to not have that fun job again for awhile!
