I'm feeling overwhelmed, so taking a break and catching up on Equifriends. I don't come here as often as I used to. Facebook has ruined me. lol We brought the trailer home Saturday, dewinterized it and checked everything over. Seems like everything is working and I'm ready to start packing it for the summer. Seemed so easy last spring, not this year. Maybe it's all the rain we have had, the fact that Sam hasn't had a saddle on for three weeks or we made so many rookie mistakes last year my enthusiasm has waned a bit. But hopefully we learned our lessons and things will be smoother this year. The trails (Indian Creek by Sedalia) are going to be really sloppy, we may get there and not ride at all, just do a "dry" HA! run setting up camp and spending time in the woods. I'm hoping things will be drying out there as well as here. Blane is free leasing a nice TB mare who really seems to like trail riding, she has really long legs and she and Sam get along well. This will be her first camping trip. I will take pictures and of course Tumbles is going with us. He did well last year on the trails so if we do get to ride, he will be on voice control. Wish us luck, I would hate to lose my boy.

I'm waiting for my school year to be over (2 weeks YAY) so we can hit the campgrounds too. We get to go in the middle of the week when it is quiet, usually kind of spur of the moment - the weather is good, let's go, lol. Caiden's broken arm might slow us down a little but he says he'll ride with me in his buddy saddle until he gets healed up. I got a new couch/futon for my trailer that has some added storage underneath and also a new comfy mattress - but it is too thick and needs to be "customized" a little so that I can open the doors to the little storage area at the front of my gooseneck. I need to take stock of my "dry" camping supplies and replenish and reorganize.

Donna, Remember, you can "camp" in your trailer right there in your yard to check everything out. That way, if something isn't right, you can fix it on the spot. We want you to have a really good time.
We are better than Facebook, don't forget that. We will help you. Tumbles has his ID on his collar with the cell phone number since you won't be home to pick up the message if he gets misplaced. Sadie also has her vet's number. He will be fine. And he will have a wonderful time.

We have had the trailer home since Saturday, haven't slept in it but made sure the electrical systems, propane and battery are all up to doing their job. Fridge, hot water heater all systems go. Took the truck into the shop to have it serviced this morning. Ready to roll! Picked up our certified weed free hay, dang that stuff didn't go down in price with the local hay. Ouch. Now to make the bed, check off the home list, load groceries and perishables, and roll it out back out to the pasture to pick up ponies and tack in the morning.

Hope you have a great time and the weather cooperates enough for you to get out on the trail for even just a short confidence building ride
