I ordered some of the whoabelly treats to try with my mare. She hasn't stopped eating but everytime she is fed her ration balancer she kicks at her stomach. Doesn't seem to faze her but the ingredients are not harmful so will not hurt her and perhaps it will resolve that belly kicking issue. She only gets 1/2 lb per day of Gro N Win. She didn't do it before but then I was unable to get what she was eating previously so in the meantime I was feeding her the Purina Enrich 32 that the barn feeds. Not that there is anything wrong with it but that is when the belly kicking started. I got her started on Gro N Win and have seen a decrease in the kicking but she still does it when she starts eating. She used to do it the entire time it took for her to eat so it has gotten better....just would like to see it stop altogether. Her coat is good and her weight is fine but something is not quite right so will try this and see if that helps her

Thanks all -
Emeriah improved a lot in 7 1/2 months. I'm hoping to have a horse that looks like he has been fed by end of summer, but not sure if it is realistic since he went a few years without good food.
I'm not ignoring the requests for registered name. I'd prefer not to post it on the internet, so have sent messages to the two who asked.

Emeriah was looking great mid summer, but then if you notice in the pictures she looks to slowly be loosing it again. I didn't notice it until I really started looking at the pictures. We only rode her 2 or 3 times when she was looking good, and only at a walk trot. It takes time. not sure I beleive the 3 or 4 month time frame alot of people say for the shape they are in. Just listen to the vet and do as they say.
