Yes, bunny bites are the WORST! Luckily, we have only had one bunny who bit and we did not keep her for very long.
Dorothy is almost back to her old self. Yesterday was really warm, so I let her play outside with the chickens for a while. The first time I went out to get her, she hopped away from me... she did NOT want to come in yet! She seemed to be taking it easy on her own, so I let her stay out for a while longer. Then some weather started blowing in and she decided that coming in might not be such a bad idea after all. She still takes some steps that make it look like she has some soreness and twinges. I'm sure that is normal.

Awww, sweet Dorothy. I'm glad you and she are okay. You love that bunny. I had to laugh at her being restored to believing life was worth living by the smell of a tamale. We bought our dear Basset, Lightning, from his breeder when he was eight weeks old. He was furious to be separated from his brother, and clearly believed he'd been dog-napped. He wouldn't have anything to do with us until a friend came in drinking a beer out of glass and eating a tamale. Lightning got a sip of the beer and our friend gave him a bite of the tamale and he perked right up. That was the way to this puppy's heart! :-)
