Okay, I should probably stay away from the pet section of craigslist when I'm feeling down or vulnerable. But this little girl is SSSSOOOOOOOOOOO CUUUUTE.
I love bunnies. I have often had two bunnies and we were down to one. He is a WONDERFUL bunny, but he is the smallest bunny we have ever owned. He's about the size of the outside bunnies. I like BIG bunnies. My favorite breed is flemish giant. Often those go for a lot of money... $90 or even over $100, which I can't justify spending on a bunny. Then I saw a litter of bunnies that are half checkered giant and half flemish giant. They were a very reasonable price. I went to look at them. Some of them were jumpy and didn't want to be held. Some of them were very sweet. One of them sat down next to me, loved to be petted, and never hopped away from my side.
I brought her home. She was 7 weeks old.
She has a little dot on the end of her nose. I was thinking that maybe I would name her Dorothy. Rose and Jacob were at their dad's and they came home the next day. I introduced her to them and Rose said, "We should name her DOROTHY!!!" So her name is Dorothy.
I have taken her all over with me. She's been to customers houses and the flower store and lots of places like that. She loves EVERYBODY and she does like to hop around for exercise, but she doesn't squirm out of people's hands. She has a magic to her. Everyone just falls in love when they see her. Often they go away saying, "I didn't know bunnies made good pets. I would love to have a bunny!"
The kids are adjusting to the idea that she is MINE MINE MINE MINE
