My battery alarm clock was getting dim. It was powered with two batteries. I pulled out one battery and quickly slid the replacement in. I did the same for the second. It was a miracle! I didn't have to go through the setting-up routine and telling the clock what the year was, the day of the week and all that other stuff. It might not work every time, but you might get lucky.

That is good to know! If it saves one time of having to go through all of the settings it will be worth it.

That is kind of like I feel. I suspect that if there is enough juice in the one battery when you pull the weak one out, it will work. It is worth a dry, definitely.

I usually don't have luck with battery powered watches & clocks, they just stop on me.
OK, I take that back.... in the last 2 weeks 2 of my clocks have not just stopped, their second hands just don't have the energy to past the 9. LOL
My watches are a different matter. They never seem to slow down, the just stop out right. That's why I LOVE my old windups.
