 Nuthouse or Rednecksville...I can't tell!

For some horrifying reason, snaffle carelessly sent me with Stella. I was hoping she'd care about my welfare more than that! This place is awful so far.

For starters, I'm basically in the middle of nowhere. There's nothing but cornfields to be seen, but I should admit that the smell of harvest is just wonderful. Stella told me she'd try to introduce me to a farmer so I can see the tractors and combines.

As soon as Stella brought me into her home, I was attacked by this big strange nose. He's supposed to be part heeler, but he sure doesn't look it. (And geez...someone aughta tell Stella not to strangle new friends.)

I must have smelled like snaffle's house, because Buster (the silly polka dotted one) did the snaffle-dance when he saw me...nose stuffing where it doesn't belong, wagging, and sitting-pretty like a darn shih-tzu! Pip thought I was pretty cool, but she was much more lady like about it.

Stella also told me that I'm supposed to help her catch up on her reading. (what were you people thinking, sending me here?)

The real reason she doesn't get any of these stacks read is because she parks on the corner of the couch all day. Usually there's a stack of food and/or dirty dishes on the end table, but she cleaned up a bit...
I have to admit I'm pretty flattered that you all talk about me so much in the big internet! Look how awesome I look with Elvis!

I had one more inspection by Pip before we hunted angels. Notice our eyes match? They're both crazy eyes!

Hunting angels, you ask? I know, right? That's what I'm talking about. This place is crazy. Pip jumps and yaps and spins in the air. It's probably the dumbest thing I've ever seen.

Even Buster thinks she's dumb...

Stella told me she'll try to take me to the vet tomorrow for a check up. I hope she forgets me. She said there's a chance she'll walk right by me on the way out the door, even though I'll be camped out right next to her keys. ::)

I feel like a kid at a horrible summer camp writing to my parents.

Dear Mom and Dad,
I'm sorry I was bad. I promise I'll be good if you just let me come home...

Maybe it'll be better tomorrow when I get to see the vet clinic and maybe meet the horses.

Rednecksville? I dunno, but I think you might be close to The Armpit of the Earth. Maybe not in it, but darn close. No wait; I live there. *nods sagely*

I like the way you play dead when those two monsterous dogs were considering making you lunch. Good move, Gus!

Do me a favor, Gus: ask Stella why is she reading a book called "Dating Dead Men." ;D

(*pssst!* You think the dogs are weird? Wait until you meet the horses. ;) )

Those pictures of Pip jumping around are cute!!!

But Gus! Your attitude! I swear, you must have been hanging around with your sassy sister Sug and some of her 'tude rubbed off. ;)

I'm curious about the book now too... must know.

So I'm not the only one who noticed that book! And considering that Stella has been married for, what, about three years now....I'm guessing that reading stack has been there a while! ;)

Gus, you'll be just fine. Lay low, cover your head and play 'possum when necessary.

oooo, pe, remember the roads to GH at night and *some* of the outcomes for the 'possums, that might not be the best advice for poor ol' Gus!
