This recipe is a must have at our holiday dinners. It is perfect as a salad or dessert.
RASPBERRY PRETZEL SALAD
2 ½ cups crushed pretzels (not too fine) ¾ cup melted butter ¼ cup sugar
Mix the first 3 ingredients, spread in a 9 x 13 pan. Bake at 400 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes. Let Cool.
*********************************************** 8 oz cream cheese (softened) 1 cup sugar 1 9 oz carton of Cool Whip
Blend cheese & sugar. Fold in Cool Whip. Spread over cooled crust.
*********************************************** 2 cups boiling water 2 (3 oz) packages Red Raspberry Jello 2 (12 oz) packages frozen red raspberries.
Dissolve jello in boiling water, stir in frozen berries. When partially set, pour over second layer and refrigerate.
************************************************* 1 9 oz carton Cool Whip Spread Cool Whip on top.

oh... that's not a salad, that's a scrumptious dessert! Sounds really good!!! I think it may join my list of foods this year. Thanks for posting, I was about to ask you about that.

I had heard that a strawberry salad went over so big at a Sheltie Specialty many years ago, that there were a zillion requests for the recipe, so the host club printed the recipe in the newsletter.
I tweaked the recipe and swopped the strawberries and strawberry jello for raspberry.
I think it is so funny that son #1's mother in law now HAS to have that salad/dessert at her holiday dinners too.
We have had this dish at every thanksgiving and Christmas dinner for about 10 years. Maybe more, I loose track of time
